Jira allows to add automation to the system. You can automate most of the actions in the tasks or you can automate connection with different tools and applications such as GitHub, Microsoft teams and so on.

Project settings -> Automation

Global automation settings and project automation settings are connected, so you can edit all project automation inside global automation and vice versa
